# Go live: add a card

**In short:** Going live means forwarding your business number to Vocenya. Add a card in Billing first; then the forwarding steps appear on your Overview page. Nothing is charged until your free trial ends.

Your free trial starts without a card. You can set up your receptionist, test it and get your number first. When you are ready for it to answer your real business calls, add a card.

## Add your card

1. In Vocenya, open **Billing**. Only the account owner sees it.
2. Tap **Manage card, invoices and cancellation**.
3. Add your card on Stripe's secure page, then come back.

Or tap **Add a card** on your **Overview** page.

Nothing is charged until your free trial ends.

## Then forward your calls

With a card on file, your **Overview** page shows **Keep your existing number**. Pick your phone company and follow the steps. [The full forwarding guide](/help/phone-forwarding/forward-your-business-calls).

## When your trial ends

We email you 3 days before. With a card on file, your plan starts and your card is charged for the first month. Without a card, the trial simply ends and you pay nothing.

Want to start your plan before the trial ends? In **Billing**, tap **Start my plan now**. Your card is charged for the first month right away.

### Will I be charged when I add a card?

No. Nothing is charged until your free trial ends, unless you choose Start my plan now.

### Why do I need a card to forward calls?

Forwarding is when your real business calls start reaching Vocenya. Vocenya asks for a card first so your calls keep being answered when the trial ends.
