# App notifications

Help Center · Mobile app · Updated 2026-10-04

**In short:** The app alerts you to missed calls, new leads, call summaries, chats waiting for a person and more. Choose them in Settings, Notifications. Quiet hours make alerts silent, except urgent ones if you allow them.

## Choose your alerts

In the app, open **Settings**, then **Notifications**. You can also do this on the website under **Settings**, **Notifications**, where each alert can go to the **Phone app**, your **Browser** or **Email**.

The alerts are: missed call, message taken, new lead, chat waiting for the team, transfer not answered, call summary, and for owners, billing and trial, and receptionist needs attention. [What each alert means](/help/calls-and-handoffs/call-summaries-and-notifications).

## Quiet hours

Set quiet hours and alerts on your phone and in your browser arrive silently. Emails still arrive as usual.

Turn on **Let urgent alerts through** to still hear missed calls and visitors waiting in the chat.

## Act from the alert

- On a missed call alert, tap **Call back**.
- On a chat waiting for the team, tap **Reply** or **Open**.

## In HIPAA mode

Alerts leave out callers' details. Open the app to see them.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why am I not getting alerts?

Check that notifications are allowed for the Vocenya app in your phone’s settings, that the alert is ticked for Phone app in Settings, Notifications, and that you are not in quiet hours.
