Take handed-off calls in the app

Updated

In short

Add yourself to Team calls with Ring in the Vocenya app, then open the Calls tab in the app once. When your receptionist passes you a caller, the app rings while it is open. Accept, and you hear a short briefing first.

When a caller asks for a person, your receptionist can ring you in the Vocenya app. How handoffs work.

Set it up

  1. On the website, open Team calls in Vocenya.
  2. Add yourself, or a team member, and choose Ring in the Vocenya app.
  3. In the app, open the Calls tab once. That sets up calling on this phone.

The app needs an active plan and a Vocenya number on your account.

Answering

  • The app rings while it is open.
  • Accept the call. You hear a short briefing from your receptionist: who is calling and why. Then you are connected.
  • With a confirmed mobile number on your team entry too, your mobile rings at the same time. On your mobile you press 1 to take the caller.

If nobody answers, your receptionist takes a message and your team gets a Transfer not answered alert.

Pause your calls

Busy? Pause your calls on the Team calls page and your receptionist skips you until you turn them back on. You can also ring only during business hours.

Calling out

Account owners can call out from the app, from your Vocenya business number.

Questions

Will the app ring when it is closed?

The app rings while it is open. Add your confirmed mobile number to your team entry so your mobile rings at the same time.
