Slack and Notion

Updated

In short

Slack posts alerts to one channel: new leads, missed calls, chats waiting for a person, bookings and messages taken. Notion adds a row to a database for new leads, completed calls and bookings.

Both are under Team apps on the Integrations page, when they are switched on for your account.

Slack

  1. Tap Add to Slack and pick a channel.
  2. Choose what to post:
    • New lead
    • Missed call
    • Live chat waiting for a person
    • New booking
    • Message or voicemail taken

The first three are on by default. Each message has an Open in Vocenya button.

Posting to a private channel? Type /invite @Vocenya in that channel first.

Blocked callers and test calls are never posted.

In HIPAA mode, Slack messages only say what happened, with the last four digits of the number and a link. Details stay in Vocenya.

Notion

  1. Tap Connect Notion and pick a database.
  2. Choose what to add: new lead, call completed and new booking. All three are on by default.
  3. Match Vocenya's fields to your columns, like name, phone, email, summary and date.

Notion is not available in HIPAA mode.

Developers: see the Slack guide and the Notion guide.

Questions

Can I use Slack in HIPAA mode?

Yes. In HIPAA mode Slack messages carry no patient details: only what happened, the last four digits of the number and a link.
