Check that forwarding works
Updated
In short
Call your business number from a different phone. If your Vocenya receptionist answers, forwarding works. In Vocenya, you can also open Forwarding and tap Test my forwarding.

After you turn on forwarding, check it. It takes a minute and saves missed calls later.
Test it in Vocenya
In Vocenya, open Forwarding and tap Test my forwarding.
Test it yourself
- Use a different phone from the one with your business number. A mobile works well.
- Call your business number.
- Your Vocenya receptionist should answer with your greeting.
- Hang up. The call shows on the Calls page in Vocenya, and you get a call summary if your notifications are on.
If your old phone rings instead
- Check you dialed the code from the phone that has your business number, not another phone.
- Check you typed your Vocenya number correctly, with no spaces or dashes.
- Wait for the confirmation tone or message before hanging up, then try again.
- Some phone lines need forwarding switched on by the phone company first. Call them and ask them to forward all calls to your Vocenya number.
If you hear "this number is not in service"
Check the Vocenya number you forwarded to. Your Vocenya number is on your Overview page.
If it rings for a long time before Vocenya answers
You may have set up forwarding only when you don't answer. That is "ring first". Ring first vs answer every call.
